Wadsworths Solicitors Team Takes the (10,000ft) Leap

Two members of the Wadsworths Solicitors team have conquered their fears and completed a 10,000ft skydive, raising an incredible £1,355 for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Taking on the exhilarating challenge, Kara (private client team) and Leanne (residential conveyancing team) climbed to 10,000 feet before leaning out of the aircraft and embracing the thrill of freefall. After the adrenaline-filled descent, they enjoyed a spectacular parachute ride back to earth – all in support of the outstanding work carried out by Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, colleagues and supporters, Kara and Leanne have raised an amazing £1,355, helping Acorns continue to provide specialist care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families.

The pair described the skydive as an incredible experience and one they are immensely proud to have completed for such a worthwhile cause.

Victoria, Marketing Manager at Wadsworths Solicitors, said:

“At Wadsworths Solicitors, we’re passionate about supporting charities that make a real difference to the communities we serve, and Acorns Children’s Hospice is an organisation that does exactly that. We are incredibly proud of Kara and Leanne for stepping so far outside their comfort zones to raise vital funds. Their determination and enthusiasm have been inspiring and we’re delighted they’ve raised such a fantastic amount for this wonderful charity.”

The firm would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jo at Acorns Children’s Hospice for inviting us to take part in this fantastic fundraising event together with Pat and Eileen Fegan at Solihull Healthcheck Clinic, who generously volunteered their time and professional expertise to carry out the medical assessments needed to ensure Kara and Leanne were ready for the challenge.

Everyone at Wadsworths Solicitors would like to congratulate Kara and Leanne on their remarkable achievement and thank every single person who donated so generously. Every contribution will help Acorns continue its invaluable work supporting local children and families when they need it most.

Congratulations, Kara and Leanne – what an incredible achievement!
