As legal advisors for the Friends of Henley Railway Station, we proudly waived ALL our legal costs, ensuring the smooth lease of the station on a pro-bono basis.
We are so proud to have been able to help and assist our local community in this way and a massive shout-out to Sunil and his team for the many many hours they have spent on this. This was not a straight-forward transaction by any means and there were a range of obstacles to overcome to reach final completion.
Sunil, representatives from the Railway Heritage Trust, Henley-in-Arden Parish Council, West Midlands Railway, Friends of the Shakespeare Line and Friends of Henley Railway Station joined Network Rail’s Lord Peter Hendy to open the station building yesterday. The 1908 station building which has laid empty for decades, has now been repurposed into a beautiful welcoming community space and bar
This project reinforces our commitment to our local community, benefiting not only residents but also boosting the local economy and promoting sustainable travel.
Suffice to say – great job team! Well done to everyone involved.
